Angelo Ogbonna has fuelled rumours that he could be on his way to Serie A after the New Year after he followed AC Milan’s official Instagram account.

The Italian giants are keeping tabs on West ham defender Angelo Ogbonna ahead of the January transfer window, reports Claret and Hugh.

Ogbonna, who joined the Hammers from Juventus back in 2015, has reportedly been eyed in order to help solve Milan’s defensive woes after a poor start to the season at the back.

Milan currently sit 8th in the Serie A table, and have leaked 16 goals already this campaign despite their plethora of high profile signings.

Manager Vincenzo Montella spent big in the summer on the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Ricardo Rodriguez and Mateo Musacchio in order to help sure up his back line, however such spending has proven ineffective and Ogbonna is seen as a potential answer to such problems.

The 29-year-old defender already has over 100 Serie A caps to his time from his time with both Torino and Juventus, and also boasts 13 caps for his country.

While the player is yet to comment on such rumours, his latest actions on social media have fuelled the fire of a potential return to his home country in January.
