West Ham could be lining up Burnley manager Sean Dyche as a replacement for Slaven Bilic. A report in the Daily Mail before the Hammers 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday suggested that a decision on Bilic’s future could be made following the game.
The draw indicates that the Hammers board will hold fire for the moment on taking any action, especially with the club having one more game on Saturday before the international break.
If there is a poor result against Liverpool, it would give co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold some breathing room to decide on Bilic’s future, and make a new appointment if they decide to axe the Croatian.
Whether Dyche would be the best candidate for the role however, many West Ham fans are not so sure. Here is some of the Twitter reaction over the last week to the Burnley manager being linked with the role at the London Stadium.
I really like Dyche; I like the air of menace that makes you think he can handle a dressing room. Then again, I thought that about Slav

You look at our squad, and you can’t help but think it has the quality for Europa League, Slav just has to go, but not for Sean Dyche.

I would have Dyche. He makes the best out the players he has. Look at Pope & Tardowski! He can play attacking football too

Wish #WHUFC would boot Bilic, Dyche would be a good shout for us, I’d even take Koeman. Think you and Giggs should come in to save us Rio.

I’d take Sean Dyche as our next manager #WHUFC

If West Ham sack Slaven Bilic & want a manager who will turn things around rapidly then go for Carlo Ancelotti or even Sean Dyche. #WHUFC
