West Ham are set to face competition from Galatasaray in their pursuit of Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah, with the Turkish giants reportedly plotting a big money bid for the Ghanian this January.

Both West Ham and Galatasaray were interested in securing the services of the versatile midfielder, also can also operate as a left wing-back, during the summer however Juventus were reluctant to part ways with the 28-year-old.

However with Asamoah having featured little in what has been a strong start to the new season for the Serie A champions, Juventus could be willing to part ways with the Ghana international this winter, with the Istanbul side ready to bid again for the midfielder.

“In the end Juventus didn’t want to let him go,” Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek told Fanatik (via TalkSPORT).

“We already had an agreement with Asamoah, and we’ll repeat our offer during the winter transfer window.”

West Ham remain interested in the 28-year-old, however would prefer to wait until he becomes available on a free next summer when his contract with Juventus expires.
