West Ham are reportedly lining up a move for former Atletico Madrid and Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores as they look to replace underperforming Slaven Bilic, reports The Sun.

The Hammers have had a tough start to the new season having won only two of their seven Premier League fixtures so far, despite a summer of heavy spending, leading to rumours of the Croatian’s imminent departure from East London.

A number of names have been banded around as potential suitors to replace the struggling Croat, including those of Carlo Ancelotti (who was recently sacked from his position at Bayern Munich) and former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.

The latest high profile name to join that list, and in turn turn up the heat on Bilic, is former Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores.

Flores took over the newly promoted Hornets in the summer of 2015, however despite leading his side to a comfortable mid-table finish and an FA cup semi-final, parted ways with the Londoners at the end of the season.

Now the current manager of Espanyol, the ex-Real Madrid youth team boss has two years left on his contract with the La Liga side.
