West Ham fans have praised striker Diafra Sakho after his match winning performance against Swansea on Saturday afternoon.
The Senegal star scored in the only goal in a 1-0 victory for the Hammers at the London Stadium, to gift Slaven Bilic’s side only their second win of the Premier League season and steer them away from the relegation places.
Sakho latched on smartly to a brilliant Arthur Masuaku cross in the 90th minute to hand his side all three points.
His strike was his third of the season and his second in three games, making him the club’s joint top scorer this season alongside Javier Hernandez. Sakho however boasts a far superior goal:minute ratio, finding the net on average every 78 minutes compared to Hernandez’s every 193.
After a turbulent summer in which the striker almost left the club – infamously travelling to Ligue 1 side Rennes to complete a medical without West Ham permission – fans are pleased to see him back at his best in Claret and Blue and finding the net regularly …

Finally seen Diafra Sakho’s goal from earlier on MOTD. What a ball that is from Arthur Masuaku. I told you not to write him off!

West Ham 1-0 Swansea. Irony! Diafra Sakho, whose sub appearance was booed by home fans, keeps Slaven Bilic (a man he loathes) in a job.
