West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to hail Andre Ayew after the Ghanian pulled of a Man of the Match performance to help West Ham turn around a 2-0 deficit at Wembley last night.
The Hammers had trailed to hosts Spurs 2-0 before the break thanks to goals from Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli, however Ayew led a remarkable second half comeback that saw Slaven Bilic’s side emerge 3-2 victors.
Ayew bagged two goals in five minutes early in the second half, before Angelo Ogbonna hit a 70th minute winner on a historic night in North London that saw the Hammers progress to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
The victory has given Slaven Bilic renewed hope of keeping his job after heavy speculation he was to leave the club in the coming weeks.
And he too can thank Ayew, who was awarded the Man of the Match award for his contribution, just like Hammers fans who have expressed their appreciation for the former Swansea City and Marseille star’s emphatic performance …

When Ogbonna scored, he gave Ayew a subtle kiss on his head…
