Tottenham Hotspur are investigating allegations that a fan threw a ‘cup of urine’ during West Ham’s 3-2 victory at Wembley on Wednesday night, reports the BBC.
A video emerged on social media shortly after the Carabao Cup clash, seeming to show a fan urinating into a cup before launching it over a number of other spectators.
A Spurs spokesperson said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable.
“We are currently investigating and working to identify the individual.
“If anybody has any information about the incident they can contact supporter.services@tottenhamhotspur.com in complete confidence.”
The Hammers came back from two goals down to secure a memorable win in the capital which sees them progress to the quarter-finals of the competition.
Spurs took an early advantage through Moussa Sissoko, before Dele Alli made it 2-0 to the hosts before half time.
With the game seemingly done and dusted however, it was Andre Ayew who came to the visitors, bagging a quick second half brace to set up a thrilling finale.
Defender Angelo Ogbonna then scored a 70th minute winner to help secure the only the Hammers fourth win of the season in all competitions.
