West Ham United have endured a difficult 18 months since their move to the London Stadium and now seem set for another campaign battling at the wrong end of the Premier League table.
Friday night’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton, accompanied by the results elsewhere over the weekend, has seen the Hammers sit above the relegation zone on only goal difference and manager Slaven Bilic reportedly now has just two games to save his position.
Bilic has come close to an exit before, with the general consensus being that the Croatian is vastly underperforming, butĀ BeIn SportsĀ pundit Richard Keys has stated that he believes the problem lies elsewhere.
Keys criticised owners David Gold and David Sullivan with his comments, suggesting that the board meddle into the Hammers’ affairs far too often and have contributed to the downfall of the East London giants.
That’s led to a discussion on social media amongst supporters, many of whom have also been critical of the board in charge of their side.
No there's two problems. Slav is tactically incompetent and stubborn. Board won't back him and dragged us to this spaceship
