Slaven Bilic is eyeing a victory over Crystal Palace this Saturday as he hopes to save his job at the London Stadium.

The Croatian was given two games to rescue his job after last weekend’s embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

And after his side’s historic 3-2 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur last night at Wembley, Bilic believes not only can his side continue their good form at Selhurst Park, but also pull out a performance that will keep him in a job.

“Wednesday night’s game should set the standard for us, in terms of closing teams down, in terms of compactness, in terms of team play, in terms of sacrificing everything for the team.” said Bilic on the club’s official website.

“We will win some games and we will lose some games, but I am quite confident we are on a good way.

“We improved a lot, the Brighton game aside, and we should use this game as a standard.

“It gives us a lot of confidence going to Crystal Palace on Saturday and we need to use this game, to do the same in training, to do the same to prepare and to do the same on Saturday.

“If we think suddenly everything is OK, then it would be better if we had lost on Wednesday, because we have to be focused and use this opportunity to continue to work hard and sacrifice for the team.”

West Ham travel to Palace this Saturday for a 3pm kick-off.
