Ever bored in your spare time and decide to take to YouTube to watch some of footballs finest at work?

‘Best skills ever’; ‘Ronaldinho compilation; ‘Crazy skills and tricks 2017’. Any of those sound familiar? Thought so.

Well, instead of your typical samba superstars and your argentine acrobats, next time you take to the world of YouTube to cure your boredom, try searching for Declan Rice instead.

That’s right. West Ham and Ireland youngster. Centre half turned defensive midfielder. THAT Declan Rice.

The 18-year-old – much to the delight of the Hammers fans – has pulled of an outrageous piece of skill and a finish to match in training, that fortunately was captured for us to enjoy.

Flicking the ball over whichever poor defender decided to get their career ended by a six second viral video, Rice proceeded to hammer (no pun intended) the ball into the top corner and leave the poor goalkeeper equally as red faced.

We’ve all done things in training that may not translate into a match, but I’m sure I speak for us all when I say I hope the youngster can bring this sort of skill next time he graces the field in Claret and Blue.
