Hammer of the Year Michael Antonio – recently labelled as a ‘beast’ by manager Slaven Bilic – says he is ready to do battle against London rivals Tottenham this weekend.

The Hammers are looking to make it four games unbeaten in all competitions against Spurs this Saturday following wins against Huddersfield and Bolton either side of a hard-fought goalless draw against West Brom.

With Tottenham having had an hit-and-miss start to the year – comprehensive wins against Dortmund and Everton had been clouded by draws against Swansea and Burnley – Antonio believes West Ham have more than a chance to take something from the weekend’s big clash.

“I’ve trained with Harry Kane and Dele Alli with England and I know how good they are,” he said in the Evening Standard. “But, for me, Christian Eriksen is the playmaker. He is the link between defence and attack and he’s the one getting the assists and popping up with a few goals.

“I missed our win over them last season but they will know we have players who can hurt them as well. I can’t wait for the game.”
