West Ham star Jose Fonte insists that his side will ‘keep winning and climb the table’ after taking four points from their last two games.
The Hammers drew 0-0 with West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday, less than a week after securing their first victory of the season with a 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Monday night.
After a disappointing start to the new season – Slaven Bilic’s side lost their three opening games – Fonte now believes West Ham can build upon their current momentum and climb their way up the table.
“We have most definitely got some momentum now and the results will come.” said Fonte.
“The confidence is coming. We’ve had two good results. Now we have to grab on to that, keep winning and climb the table.”
The Hammers currently sit 17th in the Premier League table with only four points to their name, and face a tough run of fixtures in coming weeks, hosting both Tottenham and Swansea in back-to-back home games at the London Stadium.
“Unfortunately we didn’t start the season well but four points from two games – we have to take that.
“We’re not in the position that we want to be but it’s only five games. And we’re taking the right steps.”
