West Ham fans have called for Marko Arnautovic to be dropped to the bench for this weekend’s clash at West Brom.
The Austrian is returning from a suspension following seeing red against Southampton for a nasty elbow on defender Jack Stephens, and while it is widely expected the club’s record signing will walk straight back into Slaven Bilic’s starting line-up, many of the fans feel the temperamental star needs to earn his place back.
Arnautovic has had a disappointing start to his West Ham career, and is yet to find himself on the winning side in Claret and Blue in the Premier League.
The Hammers recorded their first victory of the new season without the midfielder on Monday night against Huddersfield, with Arnautovic’s stand-in Andre Ayew scoring the second goal to seal all three points for the home side.
After the victory, the Claret and Blue army feel it would be simply unfair for the 27-year-old to walk straight back into the West Ham side, and have taken to Twitter to say so.
