According to Sky Sports, Sporting Lisbon are expected to report West Ham to FIFA after making “illegal approaches” for star man William Carvalho.
Emails from the West Ham co-owner David Sullivan appear to show the English side offer just under £23m for Carvalho.
The Hammers are currently pursuing legal action against Sporting’s communications director, Nuno Saraiva. He claims the Hammers made no offer for Carvalho and also labelled co-owner David Sullivan a “liar” and a “parasite”.
Further insult was added towards the West Ham owners after Sporting club President labelled Gold and Sullivan as “Dildo brothers” earlier this week.
Sky Sports claim Carvalho, 25, wanted to secure a move to the Premier League, but his £40m release clause was a stumbling block for interest clubs.
He impressed for Primiera Liga outfit last term, netting 10 goals in 35 appearances. Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, the midfielder also helped his national side win Euro 2016.
West Ham fans have taken to Twitter and are very much embarrassed by the saga:
Lol all of us #WHU fans were saying hopefully this Carvalho deal isn't another Bacca. Oh no. Its worse. A lot worse. We look really stupid.

Are #whu fans really surprised at the boards email/Carvalho bid?
The same board who re-sign Carlton Cole after letting him go for free…
