West Ham have earmarked Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri as the potential replacement for under fire boss Slaven Bilic, reports the Daily Express.

Bilic’s future at the London Stadium has been thrown into serious doubt in the past few weeks  following the Hammers poor start to the Premier League season – they have lost their three opening games – and Bilic’s ongoing dispute with club co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan over the controversial failed bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

After Frank de Boer was only today sacked from Crystal Palace despite just five games in charge, many believe Bilic is next in the firing line.

Should the Croat go, it is reported that Maurizio Sarri has been identified as Bilic’s successor at the London Stadium.

Sarri, who spent a decade coaching a series of grassroots clubs in Tuscany, was given his big chance at Napoli in 2015, replacing Rafael Benitez, and has since enjoyed success in Naples, guiding his side to 2nd and 3rd placed finishes in Serie A respectively.

Despite his relative inexperience, Sarri is seen as one of Italy’s most promising coaches.
