According to reports William Carvalho is still keen on a move to West Ham.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder was heavily linked with the East Londoners this summer, but a move failed to materialise.

West Ham owners David Gold and Sullivan’s relationship with Sporting Lisbon’s hierarchy has been rocked after the failed transfer of Carvalho.

Leaked emails from inside the Premier League outfit appeared to show the club make an of offer £22.85m for the player.

However, Sporting director Nuno Saraiva branded Sullivan a “liar” and claimed the Hammers did not submit a bid for the Portugal international.

Despite the war of words, the Mirror claim West Ham will return in the winter window to prise Carvalho away. And the 25 year-old is confident of securing a move to East London.

The London Stadium faithful have been crying out for the club to recruit a central-midfielder and could finally be treated to one in the New Year.
