Demba Ba
The name Demba Ba rings unpleasantly in the ears of many West Ham fans, mainly because he was the man that never was. An excellent half a season with the Hammers was followed swiftly by the club letting him go to Newcastle and subsequently Chelsea, where he found the net regularly.
Now of Besiktas, it was only in January Hammers boss Slaven Bilic contacted the Senegal international in an attempt to solve his striking woes. At 32, he may not be the answer, but with him still finding the net more often than not in Turkey, Ba could be the perfect back up man for Javier Hernandez and fulfil that Hammers tale he never got the chance to.
