Robert Snodgrass has been told he is ‘free to leave’ West Ham this summer by the club, reports The Sun.

Snodgrass has struggled at the London Stadium since joining in January for £10 million from Hull City, failing to find the net at all in his 15 appearances, something he did 9 times before Christmas with his former club.

The Scot was left out of Slaven Bilic’s squad to face Manchester United at the weekend, and is now reportedly free to leave.

Aston Villa are amongst those linked with a move for the player, with the Hammers desperate to recoup the majority of their double figure investment, asking for around £8 million for the out-of-favour midfielder.

West Ham have made a number of high profile signings already this summer, and with a move for Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho nearing completion, Snodgrass has found himself surplus to requirements in East London.

Brighton and Hove Albion are also thought to interested in the 29-year-old.
