Seven West Ham stars have been called up for FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

Javier Hernandez, Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic have been named in the Mexico, Argentina and Austria squad for the upcoming fixtures, while Andre Ayew, Robert Snodgrass and Edmilison Fernandes have also been given the nod for their countries.

The latter three will represent Ghana, Scotland and Switzerland respectively in the games scheduled for late August/early September.

Summer signing Sead Haksabanovic has also been named in Montenegro’s 24-man-squad for their Group E qualifiers with Kazakhstan and Romania.

The timing of the fixtures mean none of the players involved are likely to miss out on action for the Hammers, however may be granted extra time to recover should they have heavy involvement for their countries in the coming weeks.

A number of those called up could be set to play back-to-back games, including Mexico’s Javier Hernandez who is in line to earn his 97th and 98th caps for his country when El Tri take on Panama and Costa Rica.
