Diafra Sakho could be on the verge of leaving the London Stadium after a number of European clubs have registered their interest in the out-of-favour striker, says France Football (via TalkSport).

The Senegal international has fallen down the pecking order at West Ham in recent seasons amidst problems with injury and form, and with the Hammers having secured the signing of Javier Hernandez during the summer, Sakho is unlikely to be granted regular first team football in the coming season, and he is now considering his future at the club.

Serie A side Lazio have registered their interest in the forward, whilst Ligue 1’s Bordeaux have also expressed a desire to bring Sakho back to France.

The striker spent the majority of his career with FC Metz before joining the Hammers in 2014, playing 124 times for the French outfit and finding the net 47 times.

Sakho made his return to first team action at the weekend for Slaven Bilic’s side after being sidelined with injury for a number of months, coming on as a second half substitute. His parried header led to West Ham’s second of the game in the narrow 3-2 defeat to Southampton.
