West Ham United target Ryad Boudebouz is to undergo a medical with La Liga side Real Betis, reports Football Espana.

The Montpellier midfielder has reportedly agreed a 4-year-deal with the Spanish outfit after a €7 million transfer fee was settled by the two clubs, and now is on the verge of becoming a Betis player.

While the deal is expected to go through in the coming days, Montpellier President Laurent Nicollin told Canal+ (via Football Espana) that all is not quite done with regards to the Algerian’s La Liga switch.

“Ryad’s gone to take his medical in Barcelona.” said Nicollin. “But we haven’t agreed certain details with Betis yet. We have to find an arrangement with them.

“There must be an effort from both sides for the transfer to happen.”

Boudebouz emerged as a target for both Newcastle and West Ham United after his good form in Ligue 1 with Montpellier last season. The versatile 27-year-old scored 11 times and made 9 assists for his team-mates in 33 appearances.
