Barcelona are plotting a shock move for West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini as they grow increasingly frustrated in their pursuits of both Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, reports The Sun.

Lanzini was thought to have been a target for Liverpool a number of weeks ago with the Reds looking set to lose Coutinho to the La Liga giants, however in a strange turn of fate, Barcelona have now turned their attention to Lanzini instead of the Liverpool midfielder.

Barca have had their offers for Coutinho continually rebuked by Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are insisting the Brazil international is not for sale and will remain at Anfield this season.

With the Coutinho deal now unlikely to materialise, The Argentina international has been eyed by Barcelona for his versatility in attacking positions, but will likely have to settle for a place on the substitutes bench should he make the switch to the Camp Nou.

Lanzini – who has been at the London Stadium since the summer of 2015 – is yet to sign a new deal at the club, further fuelling speculation over his future in East London.
