West Ham are refusing to do business with Everton after Winston Reid emerged as a surprise target for the Toffees, reports the Daily Express.

The New Zealand international has been identified by Everton boss Ronald Koeman as potential cover for Ramiro Funes Mori who remains sidelined with injury, however the Hammers are adamant their vice captain is not for sale.

Everton are reportedly preparing a £9 million for Reid, but West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is keen to keep hold of the 24-year-old who he considers an integral part of his changing squad. The Hammers have signed four players this summer in the form of Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez and are understood to not want to part ways with any of their key players currently at the club.

The Toffees have already had a busy summer, spending nearly £100 million on the likes of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez.
