West Ham are on high alert following the absence of transfer target Keita Balde Diao from Lazio’s tunning 3-2 Supeercoppa victory over rivals Juventus.

The Senegal international played no part in the clash after being sidelined with injury, however his non-attendance alerted the attention of both West Ham and Tottenham with both clubs linked with a move for the star this summer.

Keita is reportedly keen to leave the Serie A club, and has allegedly handed in a transfer request and refused to a sign a new deal in an attempt to push a move away from Stadio Olimpico through. Keita has only one year left on his current contract with the Italian giants.

West Ham reportedly agreed a €32 million deal for the Senegal international earlier this summer, but no such move materialised. However after his Super Cup absence the Hammers could revive their interest in the highly rated forward.

The 22-year-old scored an impressive 16 times in 31 appearances for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
