West Ham have been linked with a shock move for Manchester City Elaquim Managala.

ESPN report that Mangala has become a target for Slaven Bilic as he Croatian looks to reinforce his back-line.

The France international spent last season on-loan with Valencia after a two difficult seasons with the Citizens after joining them for a record £42 million in the summer of 2014.

Mangala struggled initially to adapt to Premier League football, however improved as his time with the club went on. Under Pep Guardiola however, the 26-year-old has found himself surplus to requirements and could be allowed to leave the club this summer.

City already have John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi and Vincent Kompany as their three first choice centre halves, and have also been linked with moves for English youngster Ben Gibson and Southampton’s Virgil Van Dijk.

Mangala has played a total of 64 times for City, and currently has two-years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
