Reports from Italy (via 90minutes) suggest that Lazio star Keita Balde Diao is set to join West Ham after the club agreed a club record fee with the Serie A side for his signature.
While the Senegal international is now is his fourth season with Lazio, Balde Diao announced himself on the world last season following a terrific individual campaign for The Eagles as he scored 16 times in 32 appearances.
His form has attracted attention from a number of Europe’s top clubs including Juventus and Inter Milan, as well as West Ham who are looking to strengthen their attacking line after a disappointing previous season.
West Ham, who have heavily linked with a number of top names this transfer market, are now starting to get down to business. The Hammers completed the signing of Joe Hart earlier this week, and deals for both Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic are also expected to be concluded soon.
Signing Balde Diao would be another big move for the Hammers ahead of the new season, and the West Ham fans seem to be very happy about the rumours …
