Three reasons West Ham still need another striker this summer

|

Two Up Top

During his time at Manchester United, it wasn’t often that Chicharito played up top alone, finding himself alongside either the likes of Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov or Robin Van Persie.

The same is true of his time at Leverkusen, where often he is utilised alongside Sebastian Kiessling or Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and even on the international stage where Raul Jimenez is his current partner in crime. During his lacklustre spell at Madrid, he did just that (play upfront alone) and ultimately struggled to deliver.

The Mexico international operates best with either another striker alongside him or someone just in behind. West Ham need to find the man to be ying to Hernandez’s yang.
