The Irishman battled it out with Spaniard Adrian for the number one jersey last season, and came out on top. Just. Randolph put in some stunning displays and pulled off some marvellous saves – Jordan Henderson springs to mind – however at times lacked consistency, something he does not struggle with for his country when between the sticks. If he can replicate that, he will almost certainly be Bilic’s first choice.
