West Ham’s move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Javier Hernandez today moved another step closer to completion after the forward landed in London for a medical.

A £16 million fee for the player has already been agreed between the two clubs, and with Hernandez earlier this having agreed personal terms with the Hammers, all that remains for the move to go through is the medical.

The 29-year-old forward was pictured arriving at London Heathrow this morning, much to the delight of West Ham fans who are excited for the move for the former Manchester United player to go through after weeks of speculation.

Hernandez, who is expected to be announced as a West Ham player in the next few days, will become the club’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart and most recently Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City.

Hammers fan were beyond happy when news of the Mexican’s arrival had spread, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts …
