The Times have reported that out of favour Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph is a top target for West Ham United this summer.

Delph joined City in controversial circumstances in 2015, signing for the Sky Blues only days after committing his future to former club Aston Villa on their official website.

Since the move however, the England international has struggled, with injuries and competition in an outrageously strong City midfield limiting his game time. Delph made only 4 starts for City in all competitions last season, registering 1 goal.

City boss Pep Guardiola is again likely to invest heavily this summer, meaning time could be up for Delph at the Etihad Stadium and he may have to look for pastures new in search of first team football.

West Ham are amongst a number of clubs, including Stoke City, said to be interested in the 27-year-old, as Slaven Bilic is looking to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new season.
