Leicester City striker Islam Slimani could be allowed to leave the club this summer if Kelechi Iheanacho signs for Craig Shakespeare’s side, reports the Leicester Mercury.

West Ham have previously stated their interest in the former Sporting Lisbon man, and are keen to find a new striker this summer after a poor last season in front of goal.

The Algerian signed for the Foxes last summer for a club record fee of £28 million after a 31 goal haul in the Portuguese top division the season previous, however has since failed to establish himself in the Leicester starting XI.

Despite only 16 starts in all competitions for Leicester, the 29-year-old still managed to find the net 8 times, as well as provide 5 assists for his team-mates.

Leicester are growing ever confident of wrapping up a deal to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho – and that could spell the end of Slimani’s time at the King Power Stadium.
