West Ham United will face competition from Turkish side Antalyaspor in their pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, reports the Daily Express.

Wilshere, who spent last season on loan at Premier League club Bournemouth, is reportedly up for sale this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by Arsene Wenger, with the Gunners demanding around £20 million for his signature.

The Hammers emerged as one of a number of clubs chasing the England international and  boyhood West Ham fan, however now will have to compete with Antalyaspor if they want to acquire his services.

Antalyaspor president Ali Safak Ozturk said: “We made an enquiry and are in talks but Arsenal want a lot for Wilshere. It will be a difficult move to pull off.”

Despite the interest from wider Europe – with Sampdoria another of the vying parties – it is understood Wilshere would prefer to stay in London and a move to the London Stadium would be his preferred option should he leave the Emirates this summer.
