Burnley are preparing a second bid for Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Clarets have already had an £8 million bid rejected for the DR Congo forward, with Forest demanding around £15 million for his signature.

Sean Dyche is reportedly interested in the striker amidst an ongoing contract dispute with West Ham target Andre Gray, who is yet to agree a new deal with the club. Gary has one year remaining on his current deal at Turf Moor, but the dispute over his wages could see him leave the club if an agreement cannot be made.

Should Burnley complete the proposed move for Assombalonga, it would pave the way for Gray to search for pasture’s new.

West Ham are amongst a number of club’s interested in the former Luton Town striker who scored 10 goals in his season in top flight football with the Clarets last season, and are reportedly preparing a £15 million move for the Englishman.
