West Ham have pulled out of the race to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to reports from Sky Sports.

The Hammers have long been inserted in bringing the Nigerian youngster to the London Stadium this summer, however following disputes over a potential buy-back clause in the striker’s contract, talks have now fallen through.

The club have been desperate in their attempts to sign a striker after a dismal last season in front of goal, however moves for Olivier Giroud, Anthony Modeste, Javier Hernandez and now Iheanacho all appear to have fallen through, much to the frustration of the West Ham fans.

Supporters are keen for Slaven Bilic to get his business done early. Last season, the club made a number of last minute signings, none of which worked out and left the club in a relegation dog fight for much of the season.

However with Iheanacho seemingly on a plate for the Hammers, Bilic’s decision to withdraw interest came as a shock to many and the fans were not pleased. Are they beginning to turn on him?
