West Ham have pulled out of the race to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to reports from Sky Sports.
The Hammers have long been inserted in bringing the Nigerian youngster to the London Stadium this summer, however following disputes over a potential buy-back clause in the striker’s contract, talks have now fallen through.
The club have been desperate in their attempts to sign a striker after a dismal last season in front of goal, however moves for Olivier Giroud, Anthony Modeste, Javier Hernandez and now Iheanacho all appear to have fallen through, much to the frustration of the West Ham fans.
Supporters are keen for Slaven Bilic to get his business done early. Last season, the club made a number of last minute signings, none of which worked out and left the club in a relegation dog fight for much of the season.
However with Iheanacho seemingly on a plate for the Hammers, Bilic’s decision to withdraw interest came as a shock to many and the fans were not pleased. Are they beginning to turn on him?
Reminder: Bilic wanted to sign Snodgrass, Fonte, Calleri, Zaza, Nordtveit & Töre….
The same man doesn't want Iheanacho

So, Sullivan agreed a deal with City for Iheanacho to move to #WHUFC yet Bilic has pulled the plug on it. Brave move.

I love Bilic but imagine not wanting Iheanacho because he's young.

Remember back to last Summer when Bilic took weeks to decide over Batshuayi & we lost out? He's now snubbed Iheanacho. What is going on.

Waiting for Iheanacho to score against us next season and celebrate in front of Bilic who has his head down and hands on his knees.

YES Bilic is a nice guy no question but as a manager no, does not believe in youth, plays people out of position, can't recognise talent
