England keeper Joe Hart is open to staying at Manchester City next season to fight for his place despite rumours circulating that he is set to leave the club, reports the Daily Mail.

Hart has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham amidst talk that he had been deemed surplus to requirements by City boss Pep Guardiola, however reports suggest that the keeper, despite still remaining keen on a move away, will not be forced out of the club.

The 30-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad after spending 11 years at the club. Hart spent last season on-loan at Serie A side Torino following the arrival of Claudio Bravo at City last summer from Barcelona.

West Ham remain the most likely to lure Hart away from Manchester, with the club understood to prefer a season long-loan deal, however the Englishman’s wage bill could be a mitigating factor in the move going through.
