West Ham midfielder Havard Nordtveit says he is fully focused on returning to pre-season training with the Hammers after an injury-troubled first season at the London stadium.

Kicker magazine in Germany have reported that three Bundesliga sides: Hoffenheim, Wolsfburg and Bayer Leverkusen are all keen on signing the 26 year old this summer.

The Norwegian international, who is currently away on international duty, only joined from Germany at the start of last season after leaving Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer. Speaking to the club’s official website, it seems the midfielder is very much still planning to remain a West Ham player despite the speculation:

“Last pre-season I struggled and was probably 50% away with small injuries, so hopefully I will have a more stable pre-season this year, which will make it easier when the new season starts.”

Nordtveit featured 21 times in all competitions last season, but an ankle injury and other niggles kept him out of action for a number of matches, and he will be hoping next campaign to start more than the 16 games he managed in his first season with the Hammers.
