West Ham duo Raphael Spiegel and Stephen Hendrie have had their contracts terminated by mutual consent and have left the club.

A statement of the whufc.com read: “Goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel and defender Stephen Hendrie have both left the Club after terminating their contracts by mutual consent. West Ham United wishes both players every success in their future careers.”

The news comes only soon after both players were named on the list of players to be kept on by The Hammers, as released by the Premier League earlier this month, however it has since been confirmed the pair are indeed to leave the London Stadium in search of new challenges.

Spiegel and Hendrie become the 7th and 8th players respectively to leave the club since the end of the season. Defender Reece Oxford and Havard Nordtveit have both moved to the Bundesliga; Jonathan Callreri and Gokhan Tore’s loan deals have both come to an end and the Hammers have also released Alvaro Arbeloa and Sam Westley.

Slaven Bilic has made only one signing so far, that being Pablo Zabaleta who will join the club after leaving Manchester City.
