Pedro Obiang is understood to have begun talks with regards to a new contract at West Ham as the club look to fend off interest from Premier League rivals Everton, reports The Mirror.

La Liga side Sevilla and AC Milan are also amongst those interested in the 25-year-old, however the Hammers hope that a new contract can keep Obiang at the club for the foreseeable future.

Discussions are underway and the club are hopeful a new agreement could be reached for the £15m-rated midfielder within the next fortnight.

The Spaniard joined West Ham in the summer of 2015 on a four-year-deal from Sampdoria, and has since established himself as a first team regular in Slaven Bilic’s squad and a favourite with Hammers fans.

Obiang has made 60 appearances and scored one goal over the past two seasons, however spent the end of last season on the sidelines having suffered an ankle injury against Leicester City back in March.
