Leicester City are reportedly planning a £25 million bid for out of favour Manchester City striker and West Ham target Kelechi Iheanacho, according to The Telegraph.

Manager Craig Shakespeare is said to be keen on bringing the young forward to the King Power Stadium as he looks to begin his summer spending. The Foxes are expected to spend big over the transfer period following their fall from grace last year after winning the Premier League title only the season previous.

Iheanacho had established himself as one of City’s main men, especially in the absence of Sergio Aguero during the 15/16 season, however has struggled for game time since Pep Guardiola took over at the start of the campaign and now finds himself surplus to requirements. With City looking to bring in another striker, as well as already possessing Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, the 20-year-old is allegedly free to leave the Etihad.

West Ham were amongst those interested in signing the highly rated hitman, however it is unlikely that City will turn down such a large bid for the striker from Leicester City.

Iheancho would become the Foxes second signing of the summer after securing the services of Harry Maguire from Hull City for £17 million only last week.
