Sevilla have joined West Ham, Monaco and a number of other clubs in the hunt for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish publication say the La Liga club are interested in making a bold move in the transfer market this summer. New Sporting Director Oscar Arias is seeking to strengthen the club’s forward line and he has identified the Belgian international as a prime target, in addition to former player and AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.

Arias cannot make any moves for players before he appoints a new coach to replace Jorge Sampaoli, who left to become Argentina manager last month. Former Celta Vigo coach Eduardo Berizzo is the favourite to take over at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and Don Balon report that Sevilla expect to make an appointment sometime this week.

Once that is out the way, an approach to sign Batshuayi could be made. Whether West Ham will consider their own attempt to sign the 23 year old, it is not known. The Hammers are still reportedly in negotiations for Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho but there haven’t been any developments since a £20m bid was made a couple of weeks ago.
