Hammers Fans react to transfer rumours

|

West Ham fans have reacted to the news that Javier Hernandez has emerged as a target for the club after it was revealed he is to leave current side Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

Hernandez joined the Bundesliga side in August 2015 after spending the previous season on loan at Real Madrid from Manchester United, and has since scored 39 goals over the past two seasons for the German outfit in just over 75 appearances.

During his time in the Germany, he has also been named Bundesliga Player of the Month five times, and was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for the  2015/16 season.

Hammers fans are desperate for their club to sign a striker ahead of the new season after a poor previous campaign in front of goal, and co-Chairman David Gold spoke of his desire to sign a proven Premier League goalscorer in a recent interview with TalkSport.

Hernandez is just that, with the now 29-year-old having found the back of the net 59 times for the Red Devils between 2010-2014, despite making most of his 157 appearances from the bench. The Mexico forward – who is also his country’s all time leading goalscorer – has one of the best goals/minute ratios in Premier League history.

Irons fans are very happy with rumours of the Mexican’s potential arrival at the London Stadium taking to Twitter to share thoughts …
