West Ham United will face German side Altona 93 as part of the club’s pre-season tour of Europe.
The fixture is the fourth the be announced for the club this summer, with the tie wedged between the aforementioned double against Bremen and the club’s Manchester City clash in Iceland later that month.
Altona are one of Germany’s host historic clubs. As one of the founding members of the German Football Association, the club reached the semis of the German Cup twice in the 1950’s before slipping down to the lower tiers in the years that followed. They recently gained promotion back to the fourth tier after a third placed finish in the Oberliga Hamburg in the previous campaign.
The match will take place at Altona’s Adolf-Jäger-Kampfbahn stadium – a 10,000 capacity venue in the west of Hamburg.
