West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the recent rumours of Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel’s potential arrival at the club this summer.
Reports from the The Sun state that the London club are ready to meet the 26-year-old’s £24 million release clause in his contract in order to bring him to the London Stadium this summer.
The Hammers are in dire need of a striker ahead of the new season, with full-back/winger Michail Antonio finishing as the club’s top scorer in the previous campaign having found the back of the net 9 times.
Muriel only recently signed a new contract with his current club Sampdoria earlier this year, however it appears that may have been to include the new release clause admist interest from a number of clubs across Europe, including Leicester City and Roma.
Hammers fans are torn on what they would expect from Muriel should he swap Italy for the East End this summer …
