West Ham fan favourite Manuel Lanzini is set to be offered a new contract at the London Stadium worth £50,000 per week, according to reports from The Sun.

The new deal would bring the Argentinian playmaker in line with the clubs top earners in an attempt to fend off interest from fellow Premier League clubs. Both Everton and Chelsea have been reported to be interested in the 24-year-old.

Lanzini ended last season with an impressive eight goals, making him the clubs second top scorer behind Michail Antonio, and he was named as the Players’ Player of the Year at the club’s official awards night.

Such has been the former River Plate midfielder’s form, Lanzini earned his first senior call up to the Argentina national side earlier this month, making his debut in a 1-0 victory of Brazil on June 9th.

Only last year did the midfielder make his move from Al-Jazira in UAE permanent after having spent the previous season on loan-with the club, but a new deal would make him one of the club’s top earners, a position many would agree he should be in given his form over the past two campaigns.

The 24-year-old has made 70 appearances in total for the Hammers, finding the back of the net 15 times.
