The agent of Carlos Bacca has hit out at the AC Milan striker’s critics. Despite scoring 13 goals in Serie A last season, the 30 year old has been jeered by sections of the club’s supporters whilst also having to face criticism from his coach Vincenzo Montella.

With Montella remaining at the San Siro after signing a new deal with the club’s new Chinese owners, Bacca’s future looks far from certain, and his agent Sergio Barila refused to say to calciomercato.com where his client would be playing his football next season.

“For now, I can’t tell you anything interesting. The only thing I can tell you is that sometimes, people have short memories. You have to analyse the numbers that Carlos had in these two seasons. On that basis, everyone can draw their own conclusions.”

West Ham had a £25million bid accepted for Bacca last summer but the Colombian international opted to remain in Italy. With a lack of support from both the Rossoneri fans and the club’s manager, it seems likely he will depart Serie A.

It remains to be seen whether the Hammers remain interested in the 30 year old. Slaven Bilic’s side have reportedly made a bid of £20million for Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho but there has been no news on that front for a number of days, and it could be that the London club move on to other targets in the not too distant future if a deal can’t be agreed for the Nigerian.
