West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to express their desire for their club to sign want away Manchester United star Chris Smalling.
Reports only today from the Daily Star suggest that the Hammers are preparing a £10 million bid for the England international after it was revealed by United manager Jose Mourinho that the 27-year-old was surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
United recently completed the £31 million signing of highly rated Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, all but signalling the end of Smalling’s United career.
Smalling has struggled for game time under Jose Mourinho at The Red Devils, but had previously established himself as first team captain and and England international under previous manager Louis Van Gaal.
The defender still very much remains a part of Gareth Southgate’s England plans, featuring recently in the Three Lion’s 2-2 draw against Scotland at Hamden Park, and Hammers fans believe adding an proven international to their ranks would be just the addition they need ahead of the new season …
Our defence was embarrassing at times last year; adding the huge experience of Hart and that of Smalling would be a huge benefit to the team

Is it too much to ask for West Ham to sign Smalling, Giroud, Onyekuru & Hart?

Smalling would be a decent signing.Would welcome him; would only improve our defence given his experience in the PL,CL & international level
