West Ham have entered the race to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to Evening Standard journalist Ken Dyer.

The Nigerian international has been on the periphery of Pep Guardiola’s squad this season, having made just nine starts in all competitions, and it seems City will listen to offers of around £20m for the 20 year old.

The Hammers will have to fight off a number of other suitors to land the forward though with German giants Borussia Dortmund also having a longstanding interest in the player.

Iheanacho has an excellent goalscoring record for City despite his limited amount of starts. In the 63 appearances since his debut back in 2015, he has scored an impressive 21 goals.

The emergence of Gabriel Jesus has however reduced Iheanacho’s game time significantly with just four substitute appearances in the league since January. City boss Guardiola is believed to be willing to allow the Nigerian to depart the club so he can finance moves for other transfer targets in the summer.
