Chelsea will only allow striker Michy Batshuayi to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis in the summer, according to the Sun. West Ham were hoping to land the Belgian international on a season long loan but the Blues will block any such proposal.

The 23 year old looks to be deemed surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte with a bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti being lined up, and it seems Batshuayi can do little to persuade his current employer he merits more game next season.

Even when first choice striker Diego Costa was absent for league matches, Conte opted to play without a striker rather than starting the Belgian. Despite the lack of starts, the forward has still managed five goals from 24 appearances, with his six starts all coming in cup competitions.

Batshuayi has been a target for West Ham since last summer but they lost out to Chelsea when the player opted to move from Marseille.
