West Ham are interested in Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, according to Il Mattino. The Italian newspaper say that AC Milan and Napoli will rival the Hammers for the Polish international’s signature.

Szczesny has been on loan at Roma for the past two years but the Serie A side have opted against keeping the 27 year old despite the keeper having been the club’s number one last season.

Napoli are believed to be in pole position after it was widely reported that the Pole has already accepted a move to Naples, but Il Mattino also say that a transfer fee hasn’t been agreed, which could give West Ham hope of landing Szczesny.

The Partenopei are seeking to make an offer of €10million for the keeper but the Gunners are likely to want to hold out for their €16million asking price, which could lengthen negotiations, and give other clubs the time to make their own move.
