West Ham are interested in signing Watford winger Dion Pereira, according to the Evening Standard.

The 18 year old has yet to sign a professional deal at Vicarage Road allowing any team to offer a contract to the youngster. It won’t be a free transfer though as all clubs must pay a fee for players under the age of 24. An agreement will have to be made between Watford and Pereira’s new club, or a tribunal will decide the amount.

With Pereira free to talk with other clubs, the Hammers are not the only interested party with the Standard reporting that newly promoted Brighton and Newcastle United, along with Championship playoff finalists Reading, are all pursuing the midfielder.

The left winger only made his senior debut earlier this month having been sent on for the last seven minutes of the 3-0 defeat to Leicester City. Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri then gave Pereira a second outing in the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City on the last day of the season, with the youngster playing the final 16 minutes of the game.
